THE NEW CAMERA - "Sony a58" |
Recently our Media Studies course has received new & upgraded cameras, allowing us to produce higher quality video *& footage. The 'Sony a58' allows the user to capture eight shots per second, allowing very crisp shots to be taken. As well as the mass number of shots this camera allows per second, the user is able to keep the lens much more stable, allowing a sharper image thanks to it's '15 point auto focus' with an additional 3 sensors for an incredibly accurate shot. |
Furthermore, unlike with the previous video cameras we used before, we can now capture fully HD videos which auto-focus whenever you zoom and/or adjust the lens.
This allows us to film an accurately processed scene with a lot of movement occurring, such as an action scene, with various numbers of moving shots one after the other without an excessive amount of lag time and chopping within the shot itself.

With the 'Sony a58' Camera, we can now achieve a full view of a shot due to the 'OLED tru-finder', which gives an accurate & real-time display of the shot the camera expects it will take momentarily, allowing us to manually and effectively adjust the exposure and still effects, such as highlighting grain.
